Crossroads Community Care Centre Inc is a registered charity, an incorporated association, a registered community housing provider and has an Australian Business number. Our constitution aims are to provide;
Over the 50 years of our operation, we have supported and created many community services in response to the varying levels and type of needs arising in the community.
Our staff have the degrees, qualifications and experience to develop and provide our community services and they receive internal and external supervision. Our board of management have the qualifications, experience and commitment to ensure ongoing accountability, good policies and vision to maintain and support our community services.
You are welcome to contact us for further information on our organisation, see our home page for all our contact details.
Crossroads also runs DV Safety NSW which is a non - profit, non - government, charity organisation who's aim is to increase the safety of those experiencing domestic and family violence, headed by Christine Bird who has 40 years experience working in family and domestic violence.
DV Safety's priority and purpose is to raise awareness and ultimately funds, to increase the number of safe, women's refuges in NSW which have shrunk dramatically over the past four years, since the government reforms in 2013, from 89 to less than 20.
We also want to increase access to specialist domestic violence services and workers across Australia. Please help us achieve our goals and donate or like us on facebook.
According to the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research, between October 2016 and September 2017 34 people died as a direct result of domestic violence in NSW alone.
